I haven't blogged for a while because of my ankle replacement surgery. This was done on June 30th, but now on November 12, there appears to be another problem. Sad is me and Bah Humbug!
But in spite of all of this, I had to blog about Veteran's Day and all the 'hubbub' about DADT. First, anyone and I mean anyone who chooses to join the military in any capacity is a hero. I'm not a military expert, but I find it hard to believe that the small percentage of gay people who join are going to create massive disruptions. Maybe I'm wrong, but you have to show me the evidence, I am a student of legal studies so I always ask that question.
No evidence.... case closed. This is another example of our federal government is spending too much time re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic!

Amen, sister! I am sure we don't agree on everything but I am 100% with you on this one. The fact is that there have been gay men and women in the military forever. Anyone who puts their life on the line for their country deserves at least enough respect so that they don't have to keep half their lives secret.
