7. Obama Lacks 'Presidential Theatricality'
I didn't realize until the other day that 'theatricality' was a word. But Leslie Stahl was on Morning Joe and they were discussing how important this is to a president. People are far more influenced by a 'visual' picture than a message that is simply transmitted in writing. For example, why is it that so many Americans are now believing that Obama is a Muslim? Because he has not been seen in a church for many, many, months. But yet lately, on camera, he has been sponsoring dinners, and making speeches promoting tolerance for Muslims. Most folks in the media now predict that the first family will soon be pictured attending a christian church.
Oh and BTW, the USA is THE most tolerant nation in terms of religious freedom. Let's not forget that. In conclusion, Obama has no concept of the importance of the 'symbolism' that the office of the president requires. So let's just throw in the Gulf Disaster, and the first lady's trip to Spain, these are just more examples of his and his administration's inability to connect to the American people.
Do you know what just happened.......... my computer, doing spell check just suggested that muslim should be spelled with a capital 'M', but when I typed the word christian, there is no such prompt. Things that make you go hmmmmm.

Reason #5 and #6 for the '2012' like Destruction of the Obama Administration
Aside from the fact that DC has experienced Apocalyptic weather in the last eight months.... here is the real scary news:
5. The Continuing Loss of Jobs is Staggering
The new unemployment numbers came out today. New unemployment claims were 500,000. This is the highest it has been since November 2009. Not only are employers not hiring.. they are laying off workers at a record number. There was no unusual circumstance for this increase, just a growing sense of uncertainty as to this country's economic future.
The number of people continuing to receive unemployment benefits is 4.5 million. This number doesn't include those people who are receiving extended benefits from the federal government. That number is 5.6 million. Unbelievable..
6. The Growing Gap Between the 'Haves' and 'Have Nots'
Sears, a giant in the retail industry, which includes K-Mart, had a drop in their expected earnings for the 2nd quarter. Why? .. competition from retailers such as Target and Walmart, and also the lack of consumer confidence from their target audience. The middle class in America is beginning to disappear and they are now becoming the poor in America.
On the other hand, the William Sonoma company, which owns Pottery Barn, both very upscale and pricey retail stores, have shown remarkable increases in expected earnings. The wealthy who still have disposable income are spending that money with seemingly no worries about their financial future.
In conclusion: both of these trends signal a dire situation for our country's economic future in the short term. And this is Obama's economy now.... not Bush's.

More Reasons Obama is in a meltdown
This is number 3 and 4 in my top ten:
3. The US is drowning in debt
This is frightening.. and I don't want to use this space to spew numbers but just 'Google' the 'Congressional Budget Office'. The CBO projects that the US debt could rise to 87% of GDP by 2020. Do you know what that means... Imagine that your household makes $60,000 a year, and you are in debt for $52,000. Sounds scary to me. Or just check out this link http://www.usdebtclock.org/ I'm not a 'finance' or 'economics' person, but I do know that this country is in serious trouble, and there has been no attempt by either Republicans or Democrats to slow down the spending. This is like the 'crazy Aunt' in the basement.. everyone knows she's there.. but no one wants to talk about her.
4. Obama now fails to inspire
This was his 'calling card' during the campaign. He talked about hope and change and transparency in government. His actions so far have been anything but.. now he reads endlessly from a teleprompter, and if he doesn't, he puts his foot in his mouth. For example, when he stated on Friday that the US Constitution gives all people freedom of religion, and the right to own private property. Ok... hello? I think we would all agree with that, but just because you are free to do something, doesn't mean that it is a responsible or respectable thing to do.
Enough for now, time for bed.

Top 10 Reasons Why Obama is 'Crashing and Burning'
I must admit at the outset that these 'talking points' are from an article I read in the UK Telegraph. It's interesting how keenly aware the Europeans are of what has happened to our country in such a short amount of time. And it's not good. I've decided not to post all 10 reasons at once. I want to comment on each reason, and hopefully get some comments from some FB friends. I'll tell you straight out.. I don't care if you don't agree with me. I love listening to opposing opinions! So here goes:
REASON #1 (and these are in no particular order)
Obama is out of touch with the American people:
The poll numbers for him have been in a stunning decline recently. I don't need to post numbers. Look them up for yourself. The incredible rise of the "Tea Party Movement" is evidence that many Americans don't like what he has done to this country so far, and don't like where he wants to take it. Even some Democrats have recently voiced concern about him; and some of them who are up for re-election this November don't want him anywhere near their constituents. Obama campaigned for this job saying things a lot of people wanted to hear, and then did a complete '180'.
REASON #2
Obama has no leadership qualities:
The times that we are living in require that the POTUS have strong leadership skills. In this department, Obama has completely failed. Thinking back on the campaign, most of us realize that we should have taken note of this. Obama has never 'run' anything. He's never run a company and met a payroll. He was a community organizer? And a law professor? How differently things would have been if Mitt Romney had been elected. This man, as the governor of Massachusetts, turned a $3 billion budget deficit into a $700 million surplus without raising taxes or borrowing. He also successfully took over as President and CEO of the organizing committee for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Utah. Our current president came into office with NO executive experience, are any of us surprised that he is totally incompetent?
My head is ready to explode.. thinking and writing about this is cathartic, but exhausting, I need to relax...Stay tuned for more later.
